Coma (Deep Sleep)


From the Greek κῶμα, Koma, deep sleep. A state of sleep from which one may not wake up, usually induced by some form of trauma.
What does it feel to be unconscious?
I tried to describe my adoptive mother’s state of mind between life and death and my feelings of despair in front of all the machines that were keeping her alive. The cross is a symbol for medical assistance as well as departure.
